On the evening of September 28, 2009, the Seattle Seahawks will present our third annual Dinner and Auction for the Matt Talbot Center. The evening will include a VIP Reception, dinner, silent and live auctions and entertainment for 300 guests at Qwest Fields, FSN Lounge.

Sponsors at the highest levels will be welcomed at our VIP reception hosted by Former Seahawk Fullback, Mack Strong as well as many of our current Seahawk
Players.

Following the VIP Reception will be the silent auction, gourmet dinner stations paired with premium wines, and an exciting live auction with Auctioneer extraordinaire, John Curley.

All proceeds for this evening’s event will go toward the enhancement and expansion of the Matt Talbot Center including the development of the new facility which will answer the increased demand for women and their children. Women are the fastest growing demographic on the Seattle Streets today!

Event sponsorship income will also be used for the
following purposes:

  • To enhance the current staffing levels at MTC,
    including retention of a full time clinical supervisor,
    case managers and administrative personnel
  • To fund the capital expenditure plan which allows
    for enhancements to the current location and
    commence funding for the new facilities including a
    Women’s Center and Interim Housing Facility for
    those within the first 6 months of sobriety.

About Matt Talbot Center
Founded in 1985, the Matt Talbot Center is located in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood at 2313 Third Ave. The Matt Talbot Center provides free clinical substance abuse treatment and a variety of restoration services to the homeless, addicted and mentally ill populations. The staff at the MTC is committed to restoring lives and relationships for individuals and families devastated by poverty, homelessness, addiction and other dysfunctions. The MTC offers the only free “On Demand” clinical outpatient treatment program available in Seattle today. On average nearly 400 men and women are enrolled yearly through intensive phase 1 phase 2 and phase 3 treatment programs. Matt Talbot Center also provides over 850 open community drug and alcohol meetings each year and serves over 10,000 meals. 2009 celebrates the sixth anniversary of the opening of the Traugott Terrace Apartments‐50 units of transitional and permanent housing located next door to the MTC, The ‘Clean and Sober” housing provides both hope and a home for successful Matt Talbot Center graduates.
